Default Brink, a SP/MP/8-player COOP game from Splash Damage

    Game overview
Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

    The Story

Brink takes place on the Ark, a man-made floating city that is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental, self-sufficient and 100% “green” habitat, the reported rapid rise of the Earth’s oceans has forced the Ark to become home to not only the original founders and their descendants but also to thousands of refugees. With tensions between the two groups growing, Security and Resistance forces are locked in a heated battle for control of the Ark. Which side will you choose?

    Dynamic mission system
The AI (could be seen as a mix between a squadleader and the AI director from L4D) adds missions to the missiontwheel on the fly.
If you dont know what to do you hit the middle mouse button and you get some suggestions of mission that will give you XP.
These dynamic missions are based on your class, what your teammates are doing and what the enemy is doing.
The AI basically bribes you to be a good teammate. "If you do this, this and this you get 50XP" "Your team has no Medics at all, if you switch to a Medic you get double XP"

There might be a quest to blow up a gate but since youre playing medic atm it offers you some XP if you cover the guy that tries to blow up the gates.

    Interrogation mission
You dont die immidietly so while youre bleeding out an enemy player might have taken an interrogate mission.
If he finds you (or any other teammate bleeding out) he can interrogate you and that will reveal all your teammates positions for a short period.

All these missions seems to aim towards two things,
    1. Let players that might feel lost on the battlefield get something to do and get some XP to level up their character. (anyone thats played TF2 a first time knows what i mean)
    2. Steer players into doing things that helps your team to fulfill the main mission.
